Portraiture, for me is an alchemical and intimate experience, the combination of an artist, a sitter, time, and the rich vibrancy of oil paints allows something original and magical to emerge.
A portrait is as individual as you are
Your face is a map of your life’s experiences. A portrait distills some part of that. As an artist I don’t plan or know what that will be. My job is to take the time to welcome, in paint, the aspect of yourself that is ready, or yearning, to be seen.
